What made you decide to pursue an apprenticeship?

There were many reasons why I chose an apprenticeship instead of going to university. The pull of getting experience with a world leading organisation in its industry was a massive thing for me. The experience I would gain I knew would be of invaluable benefit.

Also earning a wage while having educational fees subsidised was a big thing as this would save so much financially while enabling me to pay my own way.

Why did you choose to join GSK?

As mentioned previously the training from a world leading organisation was huge. This as well as the quality of training I knew I would get, and access to the most modern equipment. The educational training on offer was also of great value to me, so it was an easy choice.

How would you describe your role in five words?

Diverse, challenging, purposeful, progressive and respected.

What are you most proud of achieving during your time as an apprentice?

One would be leading the NxtGen team of apprentices for the UK. This is a team of apprentices looking to improve apprenticeships in many aspects. Also my educational qualification (FdSc in Chemical Science) and graduation. Finally, just my ability now to perform many analytical techniques.
