Sales & Marketing

GSK Consumer Healthcare operates inside a fast moving and demanding industry, within which we have leading positions in four main categories: Oral care, Nutritional, Total wellness and Skin health.

We offer a wide variety of sales and marketing placements with the majority being in our consumer business where you can work on some of our well known brands such as; Sensodyne, Panadol, Maxinutrition and Horlicks as well as these roles we have opportunities in ViiV Healthcare – an independent company in which we partner with Pfizer to address the needs of those living with AIDS.

In consumer, you might be working on marketing programmes such as packaging design, e-marketing, promotions, pricing strategies, new product development or internal launches. You might also drive sales by improving our in-store presence, using insight on consumers, shoppers and customers, and helping retailers grow revenue on our products.

A role in ViiV Healthcare Europe’s team will enable you to drive the HIV sales and marketing effectiveness in Europe. You will help to build communication, project management, marketing and business skills in a European setting.

Whatever role you take you’ll gain unique experience of a fast-paced global business. It will be a springboard for your future career.

The year will be about putting into practice the knowledge you have gained from your studies and working life. We want you to take on new challenges to enhance your technical expertise, improve your business knowledge and learn more about how you can contribute and make a difference.

What will I gain?

Our products rely on good consumer insight, as well as smart science. You could help provide this insight, doing a real job with real responsibilities and expectations. You’ll be aligned to a brand, communications, commercial marketing or sales team. All placements involve working with other students, team members and senior leaders to deliver events that impact the whole of consumer healthcare in the UK.

What skills do I need?

You should be on track for a 2:1 (or equivalent) or above in any degree. Your industrial placement must be recognised or supported by your university. We're not just looking for outstanding academics however – we need talented, ‘can-do’ people who are passionate about our brands and driven to succeed.

Where will I be based?

You will be based at our headquarters GSK House in Brentford or at our consumer site in Weybridge.
