Our Human Resources (HR) summer internship offers the unique opportunity for you to be involved at the heart of one of the most exciting and challenging learning environments in GSK.

The role

HR within GSK exists to:

  • drive alignment and performance through organisation design
  • equip our business with the right people and the right skills
  • build trust and reputation to help our customers and patients do more, feel better and live longer

Your summer internship experience in HR will provide you with broad exposure to a diverse global organisation, so you’ll get a real feel for our way of working and a good idea of whether you would like to have a future career with us.

What you'll learn

Based in one of our HR teams, you’ll take on a meaningful project and gain exposure to tools and techniques for managing and driving human resources. This will give you opportunity for self development while applying business skills to assignments.

It will stretch your capabilities in project management, building relationships and teamwork, collecting and analysing data, communication skills, planning and organising. During the internship you will have control of your own workload and you will be accountable for its final delivery. However, you’ll have all the resources, training and support you'll need to succeed.

If you perform well in your placement, you could be fast-tracked onto our Future Leaders HR Graduate Programme following your final-year studies.

The skills you'll need

You should be on track for a 2:1 or above (or equivalent). Your summer internship must be recognised or supported by your University. We accept applicants from any degree discipline but whatever you’re studying, you’ll need to be a high energy, well organised, resilient and proactive student, able to establish good working relationships and with the ability to think flexibly.

How to apply

This opportunity will not be opening for 2019.
