Scope is a charity that exists to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
It provides support, information and advice to more than 250,000 disabled people and their families every year, raising awareness of the issues that matter.
GSK has been working with Scope since 2009 supporting many different projects and is currently funding the Kickstart employment service.
What is Kickstart?
Kickstart is part of Scope’s employment services, which provide highly personalised support for disabled people to find, apply for and keep a job. The service is aimed at supporting disabled people of working age, living in the boroughs of Ealing, Harrow and Hounslow into long term sustainable employment.
This new service is tailored to the individual, providing each user with support from a specialist Employment Advisor to understand their career goals and aspirations, and how to achieve them.
The service aims to:
- Grow confidence, assertiveness and independence
- Develop important employability skills
- Support in making life-changing career decisions
- Find paid employment.

- Employment opportunities
- On-going support to both user and employer.
