Global Partnerships

We know that many of the best ideas can come from outside of GSK, and collaborating with other companies, organizations, nonprofits/NGOs, and academics is a fundamental part of our business strategy.

We are committed to working with partners to deliver innovative new medicines, vaccines, and consumer healthcare products, and to develop new ways of working.

GSK/McLaren Partnership

In September 2011, GSK and the McLaren Group joined forces to share knowledge and expertise with the aim of improving our business performance and driving a more dynamic business culture.

Bringing together two science-led companies, the unique partnership looks to identify opportunities to align the high-tech innovation demonstrated by McLaren, particularly in Formula 1, with our strengths in manufacturing, R&D, and nutritional research.

GSK/Save the children partnership

Three areas need urgent attention to help change the future for these children: a supply of vaccines and medicines, more healthcare workers, and availability of nutritious food. We have embarked on an ambitious global partnership with Save the Children to share our expertise and resources and focus on these three areas in order to make a lasting change for the world’s most vulnerable children.

The partnership goes well beyond the traditional charity corporate fundraising model. It will touch many areas of our business, in particular using our R&D capabilities to help save children’s lives. Starting in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya, we will develop programmes that use our joint expertise and resources to make a lasting change for the world’s most vulnerable children.

Working together with Save the Children, we believe this could be the generation that eliminates child deaths from preventable disease.
