What made you decide to pursue an apprenticeship?

I chose to do an apprenticeship because I never really felt that University would be right for me. I knew that I needed to gain further knowledge and qualifications in the field of IT and apprenticeships seemed like the way forward. It has given me real experience within the workplace, whilst allowing me to continue with my studies.

Why did you choose to join GSK?

GSK is a well known employer with a good track record of looking after its employees, so when I heard that they offer apprenticeships, I felt that this would be the ideal place for me.

What is the most important thing you have learnt from your apprenticeship to date?

Since starting my apprenticeship I’ve not only learned a number of things that have helped me within my chosen discipline, but I’ve also made personal advances.  For example, my confidence has grown considerably since I’ve started working.

What are you most proud of achieving?

The thing that I’m proudest of achieving is making it through the selection process for this apprenticeship. I know a lot of candidates applied and after all the hard work I put in I was really proud to be told that I’d been successful.
