Joined us in 1997, based in Shanghai

What makes you, you?

Originally from Scotland, I’m a city girl who loves travelling and experiencing new cultures – with good friends, food and wine along the way.

What’s the best thing about working here?

In the healthcare industry, everything we do is for the benefit of people. But I’d also say that I’ve stayed here because of the opportunities I’ve had and the culture. People are friendly and supportive. We work towards common goals and achieve them in the right way.

What are your highlights?

After studying marketing and finance at uni, I spent three years in sales. This was a fundamental grounding for my future success in marketing, where I’ve been for the past 12 years. I’ve experienced a huge breadth of categories – nutritional drinks, oral health, wellness (OTC) and skin health – and seen the world. China is now my fourth country and I’ve lived in Australia, Hong Kong and Japan too. Not many companies could offer that diversity.

How have we supported your development?

I’ve always made it clear to my managers what I want. In return, every role has stretched me and I’ve ensured I delivered. In the end, you need to know where you want to go and have the ambition to drive your own development.

What would you say to someone thinking of joining us?

You can create your own future. If you are good enough and want it enough, the business will make it happen.
