What makes you, you?
Educating children with learning difficulties is important to me.
What’s the best thing about working here?
We have some really inspirational leaders who want to do the right thing. I have strong personal values and there’s a sense of greater purpose here that aligns to mine.
What are your highlights?
I couldn’t have wished to join a better company. Not only was I given a scholarship to study chemistry at Imperial College London, I’ve been supported to take an MBA at Harvard. I started as a chemist, spent four years in operations, before joining the research and development (R&D) team in Singapore. My team spent two years building the R&D Pilot Plant, and then I ran it for another three years. Now, I am working at Stiefel Jurong, where we manufacture skincare dermatology products. I enjoy working in an operations environment, using my technical skills to improve processes and engaging the team to drive performance.
How have we supported your development?
My roles have driven me to be my best and I’ve learned a lot from all my line managers. It’s been a continuous learning journey, from structured development in the early days through support to take qualifications to funding my Lean Sigma Black Belt qualification.
