Global Ethics & Compliance

Join our exciting global function which supports teams across the whole organisation in making the right decisions for the business. This placement is unique as it offers rotations through various parts of the department and allows some flexibility to be shaped in line with your interests. You will be a fully functioning member of the team whose contributions could have a real impact.

What does a Global Ethics & Compliance placement involve?

During your placement you will have the opportunity to rotate throughout a range of teams, such as:

  • Enterprise Risk Team
  • Investigations and Corporate Security
  • Specific Business Units, e.g. Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and ViiV

Some key projects you may support, manage or own include: 

  • Working with the Enterprise Risk Team to simplify processes
  • Supporting the Investigations Team during internal investigations
  • Deploying global projects that change the ways of working
  • Developing training and communications for Global Ethics & Compliance initiatives
  • Working as a team member to consult a business unit
  • Supporting the engagement with Subject Matter Experts across GSK

What skills do I need?

We accept applications from any discipline and are looking for excellent communicators with an ability to be agile thinkers, who work well in teams and have a strong interest in business conduct and ethical frameworks. Above all, you must be curious and have the drive, confidence and commitment to get the most out of your time with us. 

You should be on track for a 2:1 (or equivalent) or above in your degree and your industrial placement must be recognised or supported by your university.

You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement.

Where will I be based?

You will be based at our global headquarters, GSK House in Brentford.

When can I start?

Placements start in June/July 2019 (start and end dates are flexible for the outgoing and incoming needs of the students and the business). Placements run for twelve months.
