Sales & Marketing
GSK Consumer Healthcare operates inside a fast moving and demanding industry, within which we hold leading positions in four main categories: oral care, respiratory health, skin health and treatment of pain.
Consumer Healthcare Great Britain and Ireland offer a wide-range commercial placements within Sales and Marketing, where you will have the opportunity to work on some of our well-known brands such as; Sensodyne, Piriton, Voltarol and Panadol.
Within our Consumer teams you may be working on projects such as packaging design, e-marketing, promotions, pricing strategies, new product development, or internal launches. You could also be working towards improving our in-store presence, using consumer insights, and helping retailers grow revenue on our products by driving sales. Additionally, there are a variety of roles that sit in between the two areas of Sales and Marketing which explore different commercial elements of GSK Consumer Healthcare.
Whichever role you go into you will be applying the skills you already have, whilst developing new proficiencies such as; commercial awareness, collaborative team working and problem solving. You’ll gain unique experience of a fast-paced global business - it will be a springboard for your future career.
The year will be about putting into practice the knowledge you have gained from your studies and working life. We want you to take on new challenges to enhance your technical expertise, improve your business knowledge and learn more about how you can contribute and make a difference.
Our products rely on good consumer insight, as well as smart science. You could help provide this insight, doing a real job with real responsibilities and expectations. You’ll be aligned to a brand, communications, or commercial marketing. All placements involve working with other students, team members and senior leaders to deliver projects that impact Consumer Healthcare in the UK.
You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree (we accept any undergraduate degree), but will not have graduated at the start of your placement.
Your industrial placement must be recognised and supported by your university. You must have the right to work in the UK during your placement.

You will be based at GSK House - GSK’s Global Headquarters in Brentford, London.
Each year our placements in ‘Sales and Marketing’ within Consumer Healthcare run for twelve months. Our next cohort will commence in late June 2020.
